A couple died under suspicious circumstances after consuming sulphas in Niketan Bhawan of Professor Colony located in Bahadurpur of Samastipur city. The couple has been identified as Ashish Raj (32 years) and Nidhi Kumari (28 years). Both were originally residents of Jagatsinghpur village of Karpuri Gram police station area. They have their own house in Bahadurpur, from which the family was running on rent. After getting information about the incident, the police of Karpuri Gram police station seized the body before the last rites and sent it to Sadar Hospital at night for post-mortem. On getting information, ASP Sanjay Pandey also reached the spot and talked to the family members. He said that the matter is suspicious. The team of forensic department has been called. The entire matter is being investigated.
Regarding the incident, deceased Ashish Raj’s sister Aradhana said that she was on the roof of the house at around 9 am on Tuesday and when she came down, her brother and sister-in-law were vomiting. She picked them up and took them to a hospital in Bahadurpur, where the doctor declared them dead. After this, she informed sister-in-law Nidhi Kumari’s brother about the matter on the phone. He did not arrive for a long time.

Here, Nidhi Kumari’s brother Tarun Kumar told that Aradhana informed at around 9 o’clock that her brother-in-law was vomiting. After some time, she called again and told that he had died. Then after some time, her call came and she told that her sister was also vomiting. Then after some time, her call came and she told that she had also died. After getting information about the case, when he reached Bahadurpur, the house was locked. It was not known where both of them were. They went back. Then at four o’clock, he was informed that they were going to Jagat Singhpur, you should come there. When he reached Jagat Singhpur, he took his two and a half year old niece with him and took her to his house. Then when the police got information about the case, the police reached the spot.
